What is it Costing You?

Updated: Dec 7, 2024

As someone who has spent a lifetime studying myself, I can look back and clearly see my growth—my highs and, of course, my lows. I've spent countless hours reflecting on my goals, ideals, motives, and personality. I have so many ideas and questions that I don’t even know where to begin. One thing I can say for sure: it’s not always easy being me. But I suppose we can all feel that way from time to time.

Have you ever felt like you have so much to offer the world, but you just can’t seem to pinpoint what that "special something" is or how to bring it to life? What is that unique gift, purpose, or knowledge you possess that could truly add value to others’ lives?

Before I began this coaching journey, I remember feeling completely lost and incomplete because I didn’t have an answer to that question. It’s almost absurd how many of us go through life unaware of the gifts and talents we carry within us. Feeling stuck? I’ve been there—and maybe you are too.

Here’s the big question: What is it costing you not to know what makes you wonderfully you? How long will you keep pushing that question aside? I’ve found tanswer for myself, and I’m here to help you discover yours too. God is more than willing to guide us to these answers, but quite frankly, it’s always on His terms and timeline. I had to find peace in that.

Before I began living a life filled with purpose, I carried a deep sense that something was missing—something big and life-defining. I knew I was missing God’s purpose for me, and that void left me feeling like I was missing out on His gift.

Through healing, guidance, prayer, meditation, and self-reflection, God revealed His purpose for my life. Along the way, I received plenty of confirmation, showing me that this purpose was actually the culmination of everything I had experienced—both the beautiful and the painful. Not just the "pretty stuff," but the moments so miserable and life-altering that I couldn’t even bear to look at them.

What God showed me, after a time of healing, was that His gift to me—and in me—came naturally. It was finally given a name, a purpose, and a new life. My life had been rewritten.

Was it hard work? Absolutely. And it still is. But it’s also fulfilling, exciting, and deeply meaningful. Every day, I find myself asking God, “How did I get so blessed to walk this path and help others do the same by sharing what I’ve discovered along the way?”

Life is not an easy journey. But with God and strong support, we can rewrite our lives and find an unspeakable joy and peace that flows through us and touches the world around us.
